Delivery Schedule Message

Based on the United Nations Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport (UN/EDIFACT) format, DELFOR is a message sent from a party that is planning for the use or consumption of products to a party that is planning for the supply of the products. The message provides the requirements for short-term delivery and/or medium to long scheduling for the products. The scheduling can be used to authorize manufacturing and/or provision of materials based on the terms and conditions defined in a purchase order or contract.

The message may also be sent by a party that has received a DELFOR message to indicate to the party, who has issued the message, either acceptance or rejection of the message or to propose amendments to the previous message.
