Based on the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12 format, the 880 can be used to provide customary and established grocery-industry practices relative to billing details for finished goods in a retail or wholesale consumer market. This transaction set can be utilized by the supplier or broker organization to request payment from a retailer or wholesaler organization. It can also be used for a stand-alone billing detail but cannot be used for statement billing or credit/debit adjustments.
